Kendrick Lamar makes Black History Month blacker. Everyone has an opinion on R&B parties and the music played at them. Canva seems to be the best kept secret. That's enough to talk about this go 'round.
Hope everyone is good and moving correctly.
On this episode, I spoke on K. Dot's BLACK performance and the things surrounding Super Bowl 59. I also shared my logistic thoughts on R&B parties, being that I've seen more than a few people speak on the repetitiveness of the songs played. Lastly, I gave 5 tools that I won't walk this Earth with when it comes to creating content for my and The MPN Network brands.
Enjoy the audio and/or the video. I'll be back soon to speak on a few other topics that I left off.

We are BYKE...for the first couple of thoughts of 2025. I'm working on doing video for every podcast, including Clear Visions. I had a homie insist that I do a show that speaks on my thoughts that will live on YouTube. I've been putting it off FOREVER, so this are the efforts.
In this episode, I speak about the "IT" factor that people believe that Joey Bada$$ is missing and why Hip Hop is judgmental towards emcees and the culture.
I also speak on a few books that I'm reading: High and Rising: A Book About De La Soul by Marcus J. Moore, The Spook Who Sat By The Door by Sam Greenlee, and Culturemaking: When Creative Entrepreneurship and Community Building Collide by Houston White.
Then I wrapped up the show speaking on the DEI situation as it relates to buying direct and speaking about my favorite, and least favorite social media platforms.
More video formats cometh. From Clear Visions and with the other shows on The Neighborhood Podcast Network. Lock in and subscribe to the new (and old) social media platforms below.

1. work (noun): activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result.
Ex. "he was tired after a day's work"
Based off the definition, a lot of people, organizations, institutions are not doing the work to reach the results. Maybe the results are in the beholder of who is doing the work.
Listen...I don't know. I do know that people work ethics are simply trash. Someone might believe that my work ethic isn't the best. They better not say it publicly because I'll become aggressive about that.
I WORK. PROUDLY and for purpose.
Anywho...I had my brothers Krate Digga and Shawn 'S-Squared' Smith join me for a conversation about what work and the ethics mean to them. I also want to figure out if I need to join the crew of people that don't do a thing or keep going with how I do things.
Spoiler alert: I'm going to do it my way still...and stay proud. Enjoy the episode and follow my brothers with their respected work.

Simply put: market yourself. If you don't know how to, look at the people you admire and reach out to them. Find a friend that's good at it and ask them to show you what's up. All of that...but please, Neighbors and Groovers...market yourself.
No one is going to help you. Even if you pay them.
Well...rephrase...act AS IF no one is going to help you.

I've had this script since September of 2023 and I performed a test run on the process in June 2024. I'm sure on why it took long. I was being a student and everything else you can name and didn't lend myself to the creative side. I thought about it often but I wanted to be free of obligations when I had the chance to fall in to experimentation Pete...
...the irony was that I had two gigs the same day I got the bright idea to start on it.
The creative side was itching for a scratch...so here we are with a recorded script. Its partially fiction and non-fiction, the voices (the phone call and the guy I run in to) are AI-generated (I'll explain later because if you know, I dislike AI for one reason), and of course I would love to have it fit a 'perfect' mode, but when I experiment, part of the mission is to release it to the world with no expectations and no care in the world. With that, more technical ambiences and soundscapes would have been inputted, but I'm in the mode of closing out business.
This is one of them.
More to come. I have five other scripts to flush out. Clear Visions with the playground moves...and for the win. Enjoy.
I didn’t realize its been over a month since releasing a show. No bueno, Pete.
Well…here’s a recording I did in between time and “forgot” to release it. It’s me being grumpy Pete.
Enjoy.
We’re pushing and pulling…pushing and pulling…AND pushing and pulling, yall. *laughs*
Here’s a quick pod episode where I speak on some school things: push strategy and pull strategy. I understand these methods but reading it in the space that I’m in made the ‘ah haa’ light bulb come on.
I share my…vision…on how push and pull strategies apply to marketing…or whatever your involvement is with your purpose in life (shout out to the capitalist/’GET MONEY’ folks out there). I’m not near my book to reference it, but I’m thorough with it, so it’s good.
Enjoy. #TOTHETOP
Grace be upon to you and yours.
This should be one of the standards for humanity. Your grandparents probably exhibited this growing up…and if they didn’t…you know of a person that extended grace and mercy to you…when you KNEW you needed it the most. When you get grace and mercy offered to you without any warning, you feel a sense of luck. You definitely feel thankful.
That’s how you SHOULD feel.
With that, I share my thoughts on grace and mercy and the applications surrounding it. Enjoy…learn…receive…extend…suggest…oblige…#TOTHETOP
I’ve been receiving inquiries about what an EPK (electronic press kit) is and what needs to be in them. I’ve also been in various conversations where some artists missed opportunities due to not having certain tools to present to media, DJs, event promoters, and even to their fans. One would say that its tragic to not have an EPK, but for me, I give grace…to an extent.
To an extent = Google, networking, asking an OG or someone that has done this over and over is always a reliable resource. Plus, Krate Digga might not go so far with you. *laughs*
With that, I took some time to share quick bullets (below) that artists need to consider and have on them…at all times. You never know when someone will ask you for a song to play at a kid’s event or if a blogger wants to cover your music on their platforms. We HAVE TO BE PREPARED.
Enjoy the show and thanks to my brother Krate for coming through with the voice of reason. #TOTHETOP
-have an EPK
-have clean music
-build relationships with the DJs
-make sure you’re sending the work to media
-keep making dope music and share it

…I’m slightly coming down from the high I’ve been in for a month now. I’ll probably jump back to being high again because of the episodes I’ve been producing…and what I have in mind.
If I could have more time…while resting…that’ll be great…but who said it’ll be easy? *waits on no one to reply*
I’m thankful to everyone who sent their warm blessings to me about the show. I’m thankful to everyone who gets a chance to listen to it. I’m thankful to WJCT/JME for the opportunity. I’m thankful for all of the practices I’ve done to get to this point.
You can listen to The Neighborhood show HERE on Saturday nights at 9pm.
Enjoy the show, Neighbors.
