Creator vs. Admin 2: Which Side, Pete?

Creator vs. Admin 2: Which Side, Pete?

Mr. Al Pete

Here we are. Revisiting the same ongoing theory I use when speaking about my, and others, positions in my career: The Creator vs. Admin Theory. This go 'round, I'm applying things to my situation.

Simple thought: should I be free and be a more professional creator, or go down the road that'll have me in leadership positions? Should I push my emceeing, DJing, radio personality, and professor roles to higher spots...or be a director, chair, or even a president at an university?

Decisions...or I can do both (that's my thinking, but again...we're here).

Why not (again) share my many thoughts about progressing with the music and media? *shrugs*...enjoy the episode. I'll keep you all posted on the work moves, per usual. Thank you for tapping in. #TOTHETOP

Unpacking Season

Unpacking Season

Mr. Al Pete

I said on the last show that it's been a week. Well...it's been a MONTH. Really going on TWO MONTHS. So it's time to unpack these situations. Enjoy the journey of me unpacking it all.

Rejections and inadequate thoughts SUCK!

Rejections and inadequate thoughts SUCK!

Mr. Al Pete

This morning, I received a call from a job I applied for. The voicemail started off with ‘hey Curtis…’ and the message commence to give details about ‘Curtis’ getting the position vs. me.

Talk about feeling like I wasn’t worth enough to get the job and also feeling like ‘sheesh…how do you call the wrong candidate and leave a message about the other candidate getting the position’.

Yeah. More on that AND other positions I didn’t get in the episode. Gotta keep it pushing and stay positive, right? Enjoy.
